Architecture and Rehabilitation
Elio Atallah — Prison master-plan proposal. A campus arrangement investigates daylight, landscape and social spaces as architectural conditions that could support rehabilitation. The thesis examines how institutional form affects mental well-being. Gardens, daylight and a series of smaller buildings challenge the oppressive character of conventional prison environments.

PROJECT BACKGROUND
Architecture, intent
and experience.
A campus arrangement investigates daylight, landscape and social spaces as architectural conditions that could support rehabilitation. The thesis examines how institutional form affects mental well-being. Gardens, daylight and a series of smaller buildings challenge the oppressive character of conventional prison environments.
Elio Atallah — my contribution: I developed the research, architectural concept and prison master-plan proposal for my master’s thesis, investigating how daylight, landscape and spatial organisation can support rehabilitation.
